In this course, we will survey the history of civilizations, religions and literature in Mesopotamia down to the beginnings of the Persian Empire.
The course illuminates biblical history within the broader context of the Ancient Near East and teaches the student both practical information and skills of research which will specifically address the veracity of the biblical text within the context of discoveries made in Mesopotamia.
