
Welcome to PBHL 554 – Foundations and Techniques of Health Promotion!
In this course, we will explore how public health professionals use theory, evidence, and practice to help people and communities live healthier lives. Together we’ll look at the history and principles of health promotion, the factors that shape behavior, and the techniques used to design programs that support real change. You will gain experience applying health behavior theories to today’s public health challenges, with opportunities to think critically, share ideas, and build skills that will prepare you for advanced study and professional practice.
