This course examines key leadership concepts relating to women in leadership. The course will be taught from a Biblical perspective understanding what it means to be called by God (John 15:16) in service to others. The course is not set up to teach you how to be a leader, but it will operate with the assumption that if you know how successful women and men have navigated power and authority, applied core competencies, and have secured a work-life balance, you will be better able to frame your own academic endeavors and professional development.
There is still much work to be done to remedy the gender imbalance. Yet these are exciting times to make a difference in this regard. Indeed, being a woman resilient Spiritual leader is one of the greatest valued skills you may have. My prayerful goal for this course is to help you embrace the calling God has placed upon your heart as a woman leader and most importantly, to help you recognize the value and impact this calling may have upon your ministries and institutions. For the men in this course, my prayer is that through the understanding of this course, you will be able to learn how to embrace and empower women in Leadership.
