This is an introductory course in applied statistics for students in the health sciences. The course is designed for students with minimal background in mathematics who may or may not pursue further studies in applied statistics. (Pre-requisite: MATH 165, STAT 285). In this course, you will be introduced to statistical concepts and analytical methods as applied to data encountered in the biomedical sciences. It emphasizes the basic concepts of experimental design, quantitative analysis of data, and statistical inferences. The class is extended to 12 weeks, with the first 4 weeks focusing specifically on SPSS. Students taking the course for 4 credits need to�register concurrently for the lab section.
