This course is an “intensive introduction and orientation” to Leadership and the programs in our department. It focuses on leadership concepts, theories, principles of research, and skills relating to the completion of our programs. It is graded S/U (satisfactory, unsatisfactory). This face-to-face summer experience introduces participants to each other, the University, faculty, program requirements, graduate school life, and leadership development. The demands of graduate work are explored along with issues of personal and professional development, course planning, and the financial, emotional and organizational resources needed to have success in the program. We hope it is a life-changing, enjoyable, and challenging course that clarifies your calling as a leader and confirms Andrews University as a place to be better equipped for that calling.
